The person behind the work

James TJ Lee
李鐵軍

Rally gave James a field in which enthusiasm had to become discipline, judgment, teamwork, and service. His books and music carry that same commitment: lived experience first, expression second.

Biography

He did not wait for permission to follow the road.

James TJ Lee (李鐵軍) is the founder of Huaen Brothers Racing Club and the Little Knights initiative. His career moves through technology, rally racing, entrepreneurship, youth experiences, a television co-production through Huaen Brothers, books, music, and independent publishing.

The forms changed, but the central question did not: Can a person build a serious life around the thing that makes them feel most alive?

For James, the answer was never a slogan. It had to survive failed finishes, difficult routes, team responsibilities, business pressure, and the long work of turning an idea into something useful to other people. Racing taught him that a dream becomes credible only after preparation, repetition, and service.

He now writes and releases music from that lived experience. The books and songs are not a separate career added at the end; they are another way of carrying forward what he saw, heard, felt, and learned along the route.

From interest to impact

Four chapters. One direction.

Build the ability. Build the platform. Bring others onto the road. Turn the experience into work that can outlast the moment.

01

The interest became a decision.

A televised race first awakened the idea. James later left a technology career at Huawei and stepped into long-distance off-road rallying, accepting that enthusiasm would have to become discipline, risk judgment, and daily work.

02

The decision became a platform.

He founded Huaen Brothers Racing Club and learned to work across the full field: rider, team builder, club operator, motorsport entrepreneur, and the person connecting people, machines, routes, sponsors, and stories.

03

The platform became a journey for others.

Little Knights turned real desert and Silk Road terrain into a growth experience for children and families. Huaen Brothers initiated, planned, organized, and operated the Little Knights Silk Road Rally, bringing courage, responsibility, teamwork, and family trust onto the same route.

04

The journey found new forms.

Huaen Brothers later co-produced the family off-road reality program Little Knights, Let’s Go! with Jiangsu Satellite TV. What began on the track expanded into public storytelling—and the lessons of the road continued into James’s books and music.

A life in evidence

The work happened before the story was written.

These photographs trace a movement from self-discovery to competition, team building, public storytelling, continuous learning, and independent creation.

A long road toward the self

A 2,200-kilometre ride from Shenzhen to Chengdu became a journey of self-discovery—and the beginning of a life shaped by rally.

Enthusiasm becomes judgment

Racing across desert terrain turned private fascination into a practice of discipline, judgment, teamwork, and courage.

Preparation · Before the start

Endurance is built in private

The visible race begins only after the quiet work: training the body, reading the road, and learning to continue.

Today · Still exploring

The route keeps expanding

Beyond the race course, exploration remains part of the work—and part of the story still being written.

A personal belief for the AI era

More people can now become the builders of their own lives.

AI gives an individual unprecedented leverage: the ability to learn faster, test ideas, write, compose, design, translate, publish, and reach a global audience without waiting for a large institution to begin.

But leverage is not purpose. The important work is still deeply human: discover what you care about, face what you cannot yet do, rebuild your capabilities, and keep going long enough to create something that genuinely helps or moves another person.

James is building this independent site for the same reason he entered rally racing—to make the ideal concrete. Every book, song, and page is another attempt to turn lived experience into value, support a sustainable creative life, and invite someone else to begin.

The goal is not to escape work. It is to choose work meaningful enough that, along the way, you keep becoming someone who can move yourself.

Follow the story into the work.

Read what the journey became, hear what memory sounds like, or get in touch about books, rights, speaking, media, and collaboration.
